Disinfecting the water system tomorrow morning!
The water operator, Dick, just informed me that he is going to be disinfecting the well and storage tank on Sunday morning. This will leave the water smelling like chlorine for several days. It is being used to kill any e-coli in the system. We will then take follow up water samples and let you know how it goes.

Simple question: Can we stop boiling our water yet?? There have been NO updates.

ReplyDeleteThe last test came out negative for e-coli. The problem is the Health department is not going to release the boil water order until the system is completed. They want to make sure there are not going to be any low pressure issues before they release it.
ReplyDeleteI will post the next test result when I get it. It is being tested again tomorrow. I am so sorry about this. I don't know why they are doing it this time for so long. I think it is because we have a new guy. In the past they have released it after 5 good tests.
