Water Meter Measurements

I am posting a note from our Water Operator, Dick Unger.

CUSTOMERS ARE CONFUSED REGARDING CUBIC FEET READ ON THERE WATER METERS.

1-CUBIC FOOT OF WATER =7.5 GALLONS
EXAMPLE: 1O CUBIC FEET OF WATER WOULD EQUAL 750 GALLONS
1 GALLON OF WATER WEIGHS 8.34 POUNDS
1-CUBIC FOOT OF WATER EQUALS 62 POUNDS.
THE AVERAGE PERSON USES 80 GALLONS OF WATER PER DAY, THIS INCLUDES BATHING, FLUSHING OF TOILETS, WASH MACHINE, DISHWASHER AND COOKING.

Water main break!!! No water on 309th for 6 hours

Water main break occurred last night. We have a crew currently working on it today. We are told that water will be off at 309th for about 6 hours while it is being fixed. We are so sorry and wanted to let you know what was going on.

New Water Billing

As you already know Cristalina started new water billing this month. There are a few glitches in the system that we are working out. The contact number for billing questions is Stephanie Opsteegh (360) 296-7318. She is our part time bookkeeper. She will get back to you within 24 hours on work days. She does not work weekends. Thank you.

Water outage reminder on August 17th

It is my understanding that they are going to be working on the power systems in the area and there will be no water or power for a few hours in the afternoon on the 17th. We also sent a notice in your bill this month.

Booster Pump Replacement

If you are wondering what happened last week that caused the low water pressure. We had a booster pump go out and had to replace it.

Power outage and water outage

Our generator is broken once again. It has needed to be repaired several times and it was just not in the budget to keep repairing it. We are working on rates so that we will have the money for repairs. This means that when the power goes out the water will go out as well.

This has been very frustrating for all of us.

I wish I had better new to share. We are working on the rate case now, so hopefully we will not have this issue in the future.
